Georgia Gives on #GivingTuesday
Georgia Gives on #GivingTuesday is a new combination of two online giving days, Georgia Gives Day and #GivingTuesday. On Tuesday, November 28, the Tuesday after Thanksgiving, we will join an international movement of giving. We hope you’ll support Tapestri’s work with immigrant and refugee survivors of domestic violence and human trafficking in one (or more) of the following ways:
- Make a gift: As a 501c3 nonprofit, every dollar generous supporters like you give supports our work tirelessly serving foreign-born survivors of violence in culturally and linguistically appropriate ways. Giving through our Georgia Gives on #GivingTuesday page makes us eligible for matching donations as well. You can give on that page anytime through Tuesday, November 28. It’s not too early to get started!
- Volunteer: We always need volunteers and have some special opportunities right now. We are expanding our office – and our ability to serve even more clients – and need your help getting our new space ready to occupy. Are you available on Saturday, December 9? If not, consider becoming a regular volunteer with us.
- Hold a donations drive: It’s getting cold outside, and our clients need warm winter clothes and housewares. The best way to find out what our clients need most urgently is to visit our Amazon wishlist. We accept gently used items as well; the Amazon wishlist is just an easy way for us to keep track of how many items we need in various sizes. If you order directly from Amazon, make sure to use Amazon Smile! Signing up takes five seconds, and then a percent of every purchase will come directly to Tapestri at no additional cost to you.
