Please join Tapestri, Raksha, the Non-Resident Nepali Association, the Nepalese Association of Southeast America, and the Nepalese Association of Georgia for a community education event, A Well Informed Community is a Stronger Community. On Sunday, January 28 from 3-5 PM at the Himalayan Spice Restaurant, our organizations will gather to discuss gender equity, domestic violence, and applicable laws in the United States.

Human Trafficking Forum

Tapestri's annual Human Trafficking Forum will be held on Monday, January 29 at Agnes Scott College. Please join us for a full day of learning best practices for working with foreign-born survivors of human trafficking. Topics covered include: The Trafficking Victims Protection Act, Health consequences of human trafficking, Working with foreign national minors, and Illicit massage parlors. Film Screening: Save my Seoul

Tapestri is thrilled to partner with Polaris, a national nonprofit that works to disrupt networks of human trafficking, to screen the documentary Save My Seoul. Shown at the Landmark Midtown Art Cinema on Thursday, February 1 at 7 PM, Save My Seoul sheds light onto the global sex industry through interviews with traffickers, civilians, police, and survivors.
