We Need Help
Are you an attorney interested in helping foreign-born survivors of human trafficking and domestic violence file for immigration relief? If so, please contact Limia Obadi at [email protected] or 404-299-2185. Tapestri offers the training necessary for attorneys to provide the survivor with high-quality legal representation, regardless of your legal specialty. There are several immigration relief options available for our clients. The most frequently used options include:
T-Visas: Relief which allows a survivor of human trafficking to remain in the United States. There must be cooperation between the survivor and law enforcement in the investigation and/or prosecution of the trafficker.
Violence Against Women Act (VAWA) petitions: Relief for a spouse or a child of a U.S. citizen or Legal Permanent Resident (LPR) who is a victim of domestic violence.
U-Visas: Relief for immigrant victims of certain enumerated crimes who have suffered substantial physical or mental abuse and cooperated with law enforcement in the investigation and/or prosecution of their offender.
Asylum: Relief available to people fleeing their home country as a result of being persecuted for their race, religion, nationality, political opinion, or membership in a social group
